Verizon blowing out Blackberry Storm

Rumors are flying that the Blackberry Storm 2 is set to hit Verizon very soon. Before the new device hits Verizon shelves, the old and maligned Storm will have to be cleared off shelves.

Verizon is now offering the Storm 9530 at a bargain price to shed inventory in advance of the expected launch of the Storm 2. If you have been eyeing the Storm you can now get the device for $99.99 after a $100 online instant rebate with a new contract.

The downside is that the Storm was poorly reviewed by many and the new version coming is widely expected to remedy the shortcomings of the original Storm. The Storm was the first touchscreen Blackberry to not offer a physical keyboard.
