The Samsung Pixon M8800 makes its way through the FCC

Samsung is bringing the US an 8-megapixel cameraphone in an effort to dominate the 8-megapixel cameraphone market in the US. We can’t say that we object. The Samsung M8800 Pixon not only has an impressive camera, but Samsung’s most refined touchscreen interface yet.

Samsung is really aiming for Apple’s throat with this phone. In addition to the touchscreen and camera there are many more features packed in this stylish slim handset. The FCC has just published information on the US version of the Samsung Pixon. This specific version will be coming to AT&T with – you guessed it – 3G.

This version has the 1900 and 850 bands meaning it will only work with AT&T’s 3G network. AT&T needs this phone to compete with the newly released Samsung Behold on T-Mobile and its 5-megapixel camera. We sure hope that this Samsung touchscreen will not be plagued by the cloudy display while in the sun.
