Google and the Chinese government are fighting over attacks on the Google network and censorship. Google announced today that it would postpone the launch of new Android handsets in China, presumably until the issues with the government are worked out. Last weekend was the first weekend that the Motorola Droid was available to purchase on the Verizon network. Official sales figures are not available, but analysts predict about 100,000 Droids were sold opening weekend. Friday the Blackberry Storm 2 officially hit the Verizon network. The handset can be had for $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. I wonder if you can get the device without fussing with the rebate at Best Buy. Nokia announced a recall on 14 million chargers for its mobile phones today.
