HTC Legend Gets Reviewed by SlashGear

"The fine gentlemen over at SlashGear have given us something we’ve been waiting to see for quite some time. (Well, at least a month and some change.) The HTC Legend marks the triumphant dethroning of the previous Android/Sense UI king, known as the Hero. SlashGear was first with the Legend’s unboxing, and now we’ve got a review to let us all know whether or not the handset deserves our hard-earned money. After all, just looking at that AMOLED display may not be enough, and did HTC update...

Opera 10.5: Fastest Internet Browser on Earth?

Opera isn’t too popular among web users and internet enthusiasts compared with the top three web browsers last 2009 – Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Google Chrome. With this figure in mind, it seems that Opera web browser is non-existent to the vast majority. This knowledge though may change, especially now that Opera claims that they are the fastest browser that you can ever have, well just for the meantime I guess. I bet Mozilla is on their way of launching an update version of the...

Panasonic ToughBook C1 Tablet PC | Specs Review

If you think Panasonic is just all about television, home theater equipments and the like, you’re wrong! Panasonic debuts their first tablet PC with ToughBook C1. The first time I laid my eyes on this computing device it already made me feel like I’m on my teen age years again. The looks of this gadget is like a portable DVD and an upsized mp3 player to me, but it’s really not that though it can strut those stuff too. What is so special about this device is that it is the lightest among all the...

Build a DVD drive for Your Netbook!

So as we all know netbooks don't come with a built in optical drive, this is generally not a big problem in the days of USB keys and WiFi, but from time to time a DVD drive can be a very useful accessory. So if you fancy recycling an old desktop drive you might have at home then one SammyNetbook.com forum member kindly shared his creativity over in this thread. This DVD drive was made for just £15 (that's about $25).As usual, these mods should only be attempted if you know what you are doing.

Netbooks – they aren’t just for Christmas!

I enjoy sharing community experiences whereever possible and am always looking to find out what other people are up to with their netbooks. Whilst passing some time on Twitter I got in touch with Steve Ince after I noticed he had worked on one of my favourite games, Beneath a Steel Sky. I don't think Steve or I want to be reminded exactly old this game is, but suffice to say it was more than a couple of years ago! Incidentally you can now get the game for free here.Steve very kindly agreed to...

Netbook Privacy Screen Protector

As a regular train commuter my NC10 comes in very handy on a day to day basis. I can use that hour each day far more productively than ever before. And thanks to a mobile broadband connection I can even stay online too! However, although many commuters seem happy to read and edit private documents in full view of the rest of the train (and I've seen a few things that should definitely have stayed private!), I have always felt very self conscious. Whether tapping my password into gmail so that ...
