HTC Legend review, T-Mobile HTC HD2 spied, and Microsoft offers Android app

SlashGear has posted up a review of the new HTC Legend smartphone. In the end, the device is quite good, but it will have stiff competition coming in a bit. T-Mobile branded HTC HD2 and Nokia Nuron smartphones have been seen in the wild. The HD2 gets a big 4.3-inch screen and the Nuron runs the S60 OS. There is no word on a firm launch date, but things still point to the 24th for the HD2. Microsoft has offered up an application that works with Android from Google. The app is called Called Tag ...

HTC Legend Gets Reviewed by SlashGear

"The fine gentlemen over at SlashGear have given us something we’ve been waiting to see for quite some time. (Well, at least a month and some change.) The HTC Legend marks the triumphant dethroning of the previous Android/Sense UI king, known as the Hero. SlashGear was first with the Legend’s unboxing, and now we’ve got a review to let us all know whether or not the handset deserves our hard-earned money. After all, just looking at that AMOLED display may not be enough, and did HTC update...

WSJ reviews the IdeaPad S10-3t

The Wall Street Journal has published a review of the new Lenovo S10-3t netbook here on their website. With a starting price of $549, the S10-3t is certainly a pricey netbook – except it’s no ordinary netbook. The system is actually a convertible netbook which means you can rotate the screen and fold it onto itself, transforming the unit into a slate-oriented tablet PC. Spec wise, the S10-3t features the new Intel Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 Starter Edition, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of ...

Nokia X6 Firmware updated to v12

"It’s been making its way around the various territories in the last few days, and now we’re happy to say that we have the updated firmware running on the Nokia X6 here at AAS (link to our review). The update to v12.0.091 can be installed (once available) either Over the Air or via the Nokia Software Updater on your PC. Even though your data should be preserved during the update, we would always recommend backing up any phone before an update is started. The X6 is a phone that we'v...

Nokia Smartphones from the Perspective of a BlackBerrry User

"Talk about procrastination. My final Nokia review for the Smartphone Round Robin should have been up last Friday, but here it is a week late. Everytime I sat down to start writing it, I always managed to find a distraction compelling enough to pull me away. This one is definitely tough for me to write. For every other platform I've looked at over the past 6+ weeks that the Round Robin has been on, it has never been difficult for me to find something to say; in fact, I have had the p...

Motorola MILESTONE Review

You´ve probably noticed that Motorola has not been doing great in financial terms lately, registered record-breaking losses and has been slowly, but steadily, losing ground on the cell phone market and the major winners that cashed in on the weakness of the former leader turned out to be Samsung and LG. The company decided to cast its lot in with Android, the young operating system that is picking up speed as we speak and gaining popularity incredibly rapidly. By the time of the curren...

BlackBerry Tour2 9650 Hands On

"What could be better than the original BlackBerry Tour? Well, the BlackBerry Tour2 obviously. We’ve just got a hold of one and will be putting it through our normal thorough review processes, but in the meantime, here are some first impressions: Physical size is nearly, if not identical to the original BlackBerry Tour The trackpad works great, just as you’d expect We guessed the original Tour was slightly underpowered, and we were right. Fortunately the Tour2 seems to use the processor found ...
