Samsung N150 Listed at Amazon US

Whilst doing my usual searches to see if anything new has hit the shops yet, I noticed that the N150 is now listed at Amazon.com and is available for pre-order in the US (not here in the UK - which is unusual as the EU seems to get Sammy products first normally). The Samsung N150 is priced up at $350 dollars - which seems a bargain when converted to GBP but unfortunately exchange rates don't seem to apply when it comes to pricing things up in the UK!I'm still not sure what the unique selling poi...

HTC Brew spied, HTC HD2 to hit T-Mobile, T-Mobile to kill @Home service

The full details of the new HTC Smart have been offered up. The device sports 3G connectivity and Bluetooth but lacks WiFi, which is silly to not provide today. The phone has a 300MHz processor and a 2.8-inch touch screen. T-Mobile is officially getting the new HTC HD2 smartphone for its network. No pricing or launch information was given though so we will have to wait and see on those important details. Word has came in that T-Mobile is killing off its @Home service that allowed users to make...

Seagate to introduce 7mm thick Momentus Thin hard drive for mobile computers

Notebook hard disk drives are about to get thinner folks. Seagate will be introducing the new Momentus Thin notebook hard disk drive at CES 2010 which reduces the thickness of notebook drives from 9.5mm to 7mm. Seagate hopes these new thinner drives will find their way into cramped mobile systems such as netbooks and thin-and-light notebooks that might typically opt for more expensive solid state drives. From a technical standpoint, the Momentus Thin will be available in two storage capaciti...

Nokia N97 mini review Less is more

"The N97 mini has quite a task on its hands, constantly being compared to the moe high ranking Nokia N97 even though it comes later to the market. As usually happens in such cases, the price difference that would have been present if both handsets were launched simultaneously is reduced and the balance of powers has shifted.Still the reduced display (and mostly body size) is a welcome change for many users, who used to find the Nokia N97 intolerably bulky. We certainly hope it's got a few trick...

LG GW620 goes on sale as LG Eve LG prepping an Android Snapdragon as well

It seems that the LG GW620 just got outed (exclusively in Canada for the time being) as the LG Eve. We guess Eve will just be a regional naming obviously inspired by the fact that the GW620 is the first Android-powered phone by LG.The American version of the LG GW620 a.k.a LG Eve will have tri-band HSPA support 7.2 Mbps as opposed to the single band variety prepared for Europe. That (and the name, of course) is the only difference between the European and American versions of LG GW620.Rogers Wi...

Samsung B7300 OmniaLITE review The light side of life

"It's business as usual on the WinMo front and all the action seems to be around the upper end of the pricing scale. Impressive as those top PocketPCs may be, they are hardly the stuff that makes the sales meters tick and bring the profits that fuel the R&D machine.Samsung B7300 OmniaLITE is one of the very few that dare to try and bring Windows Mobile to the masses. Budget PocketPCs are not unheard of but what makes OmniaLITE different is WinMo 6.5. The compact full-touch handset has ...
