Sprint sat new sales records when the Pre debuted last weekend. The launch wasn’t on par with the epic launch of the iPhone, but neither Sprint nor Palm really expected massive lines. In some locations, there were lines of people waiting to get the Pre.

Sprint says that after the launch and the fanfare surrounding it that customers are now able to use the Pre and have spent time with the device on the Sprint 3G network. Sprint is bragging about its network post Pre launch and claims that customers and third parties are saying its network is performing at the best levels ever.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said, “Better network performance has been a major priority and a key part of the improvements we’ve made over the past year that have materially changed the customer experience with Sprint. Palm Pre is the coming out party for the new Sprint – the perfect device to show how far our networks have come.”
In other words, come back to Sprint our network doesn’t suck and we have a cool new phone you can have.
