RIM working on enhanced Gmail plug-in

Blackberry users who are big users of Gmail will be glad to hear that a post has been made on BlackBerryForum(de) that claims RIM is working hard on an enhanced plug-in for Gmail. A beta program for the plug-in is said to be underway, but you have to be accepted to participate.

The new plug-in adds some interesting functionality to the Blackberry’s Gmail capabilities. The features include Gmail based email viewing in conversation View for topic management and the ability to add and remove labels and stars to email to keep the inbox organized.

The plug-in also offers the ability to archive and report spam actions for mailbox management and the ability to search the entire Gmail inbox for a message or contact. The beta program is including RIM and non-RIM employees.
