RIM readies Twitter and LinkedIn apps, LTE handsets from Verizon mid-2011, Opera Mini 5 beta for Android

If you are a Blackberry fan that has been hankering for more social networking support, RIM has some new apps coming for you. The smartphone maker has Twitter and LinkedIn apps that are almost here.

Verizon Wireless has announced that it will have LTE handsets on the market by the middle of 2011. That is six months faster than handsets were previously expected to debut.

The Opera Mini 5 beta browser has launched for the Android platform. The new browser offers tabbed browsing, speed dial and more. You can grab the beta at m.opera.com/next.
