Nexus One Story: The Google Phone Story (Videos)

Right before the christening of the Nexus One, a lot of bewilderment rises from the tropics, asking how did the google phone really began? Doing some recap, it seems the first authenticated source of the N1 came from a tweet only, followed by a couple of precious unboxing vids and the rest was history. Still, users were left clueless, on how does the nexus one looks like from the start?… I mean, was it made by a human, a droid, a robot, or by nexus himself?

A couple of days ago, Google started to update their official nexus channel for the sole purpose of enlightening the users, of what is the the genesis of the nexus phone. They call it “The Nexus One Story”. It’s made up of a series of films, documenting the details of the superphone on an interesting perspective. At this moment, it’s reaching the 4th part already, although I have a feeling, we will be seeing a bit more, on the coming days.

Part 1: Concept & Design

What was that again, CMF? (@ 1:40 mark) and Docking capability? (@ 3:10 mark) I didn’t know that!

Part 2: Display & 3D Framework

Keynotes: 800x 480 px resolution, AMOLED screen display activity and the importance of QUALCOMM Snapdragon processor.

Part 3: Testing

Keynote: Watchout for the bouncing Nexus One (drop, tumble, tumbling tests) and the trackball test (5605 ++ clicks) Pretty, impressive huh?

Part 4: Manufacturing

Keynote: HTC worked with 100 partners to develop the phone, it appears even at the boxing stage, rooms for error was highly eradicated.
