HTC Desire in silver, WinPo 7 gets no cut and paste, Android 2.1 lands on i5700

If you have been considering grabbing up a HTC Desire smartphone, you may be getting a new color to choose from. The Desire has turned up in a silver case version alongside the grey one we already have.

Microsoft is following in Apple’s footsteps by not offering cut and paste on the Windows Phone 7 platform at launch. This is a bonehead move, the device needs cut and paste, and whoever the decision maker at Microsoft is that thinks no one wants the feature is a fool.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 is set to get a new update bringing it to Android version 2.1. The update will be offered via the Samsung PC Studio 7 software.
