DROID Android 2.1 update in January, Opus One iDEN Android handset, ZiiLabs Trinity shows off

Rumors are coming in today that have the Verizon Droid and HTC Droid Eris getting the Android 2.1 update on January 22. This is firmly in the rumor category and there is no official word from HTC or Verizon on the updates.

The Motorola Opus One may well be the first iDEN handset to run the Android OS. There aren’t many details on the handset to share at this point but the phone looks pretty cool.

The ZiiLabs Trinity smartphone platform has turned up on a video demo showing off its 1080p chops. Creative uses a proprietary connector right now, but could change to miniHDMI.
