Bose unveils new iPhone dock

When I upgraded from my original iPhone to the new 3GS my old speaker dock no longer worked for me. I have been on the market for a new speaker dock and Bose has unveiled a new one today that sounds good, but is very expensive. The speaker dock is called the Bose SoundDock 10.

Let’s get this out of the way right up front; the SoundDock 10 is a high-end product with a MSRP of $599. Yeah, it’s not cheap. For that much loot the device will dock the iPhone to play music and charge the device as well as supporting any click wheel iPod and the touch.

Bose build an aux input in for non-dockable iPods and other players as well as a TV out to send video from your iPod to your big screen. Bose has introduced a new woofer that is small, but promises bass typically reserved for large speakers. The waveguide has also been shortened from 75″ to 52″ for the product. Overall dimensions of the SoundDock 10 are 9″ H x 17″ W x 10″ deep.
