Motorola MILESTONE Review

You´ve probably noticed that Motorola has not been doing great in financial terms lately, registered record-breaking losses and has been slowly, but steadily, losing ground on the cell phone market and the major winners that cashed in on the weakness of the former leader turned out to be Samsung and LG. The company decided to cast its lot in with Android, the young operating system that is picking up speed as we speak and gaining popularity incredibly rapidly. By the time of the curren...

Palm webOS 1.3.5 Released, Full Changelog Now Online

"Further to this morning's news, webOS 1.3.5 is now officially available for Sprint Palm users and the full changelog has been posted on Palm's support pages (Pixi here, Pre here). No GSM or Bell love yet, so far as your correspondent can discern. Thanks to Palm's use of a new compression method, it weighs in at a tiny 13mb and now has a new "unpacking" step when installing. The most interesting fixes? Posted after the break, along with the Pre changelog. The ridiculous app storage limit has ...

Sony Ericsson U1 (Satio) Review

"Design-wise the Satio is perhaps one of Sony Ericsson’s most simple and elegant phones. Its clean front consists of a large display and only three buttons at the bottom. Two of these are for calls and the third is the menu key, which also doubles as a shortcut to the taskbar when holding it for a few seconds. There’s naturally also a front facing camera for video calls, as well as a light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen backlight. And now for one of the most awesome features – it’s...

Acer Aspire 1410 Review

Introduction So when is a netbook not a netbook? When it comes to the Acer Aspire 1410, it’s not an easy question to answer at all. The system looks like a netbook, feels like a netbook, and it’s even priced like a netbook. Yet at the end of the day, by Intel’s definitions, the 1410 is in fact not a netbook but an “ultra thin notebook” (also commonly known in the industry as a “thin-and-light notebook”). The Aspire 1410 takes the look and feel of an 11.6 inch netbook and combines it with the ...
