Firefox Mobile Coming Soon to HTC Touch Pro

Windows Mobile users have a lot going for them lately but truth be told, most of the good news still falls in the rumor category for the time being. Windows Mobile 6.5 might be introduced at MWC but we don’t know for sure. We also don’t even know if it will be worth the wait. The honeycomb UI looks interesting but videos show it might just be a TouchFLO-like band-aid. The rumored cloud-based suite looks nice but we still have nothing from Microsoft regarding SkyBox, SkyLine or SkyMarket. Now...

Worried about the trojan found in rogue illegal copies of iLife ‘09 found on various torrent sites? We’ve already covered the new features found in the updated bundle so we won’t go through it again but suffice it to say this is a pretty significant upgrade for eac...

Motorola Motonav TN30 review: Likeable, with limits

I had an opportunity to test the TN30 on a cross-country road trip from Atlanta to San Francisco and learned that all that glitters ain't gold, especially with first-generation gadgets. One day into the trip, I noticed that the device was noticeably less responsive than at unboxing. By day two, the menus were rendering incorrectly and the Bluetooth ceased to function, forcing a hard reset to restore full functionality. By the end of day three, the problems were back, prompting another res...

Nokia N82 v31 firmware now online

"Nokia Software Update now has firmware v31.0.016 available for the Nokia N82, weighing in at 118MB. The N82 has UDP, but best to back up anyway, just in case. On my N82, even after trying everything I can think of, Maps 2.0 is royally screwed. Other problems too.In my case, after upgrading, I hit lots of hangs (all involving Nokia Maps), requiring battery-out-restarts, so I used *#7370# to wipe the internal disk back to 'factory' status and am now rebuilding by syncing data and installing third...

Unofficial multi-touch support released for Android

"I posted recently to show that working multi-touch input is available on the T-Mobile G1 phone. Now the necessary changes to the Android software stack are finally in good shape, and the software is easily installable on your own phone. (?Easily? being a relative term of course ? you have to re-flash your phone?s firmware, and will probably void the warranty if you do so?" Read more here:

We?ve worked with a great group of partners to bring Last.fm to the living room and the mobile phone.Today we?d like to add another platform to the list: Android. Android is Google?s open source mobile operating system and it?s pushing the boundar...

New Storm OS Brings Full Keyboard in Portrait

The BlackBerry Storm hasn?t lost its charm yet. And RIM has a new OS for Storm customers. Version 4.7.0.90 has been leaked and it should be available for download. Both 9500 and 9530 versions can use the new OS and the main feature seems to be a QWERTY keyboard in portrait mode. The overall stability has been increased, but you?d have to confirm that for yourself. After all every new OS is supposed to fix previous bugs and improve stability.Besides the keyboard there?s one more important featur...

Hands-on with HTC Touch Cruise (Iolite)

"The HTC Touch Cruise was the first Touch-branded offering to focus on navigation, which wasn?t unexpected, as it capitalized on the ideas of one of HTC?s most popular phones ever, the P3300 (Artemis), whose most touted feat was navigation. And while the Touch series offers some other GPS-enabled communicators, over at HTC they consider the Touch Cruise their true navigation-savvy solution, even though at the beginning they struggled to communicate this notion to the users (in view of a pretty ...
